Your March health-oscope

Wondering if you and your Pisces pals should adopt Meatless Mondays this month? Itching to know if your fellow Libras should swap Pilates for the punching bag? We’ve got everything you need to know about what the heavens have in store for you this March.


Were you all ‘new year, new me’ back on January 1st? Well, that may not be the best approach for you this month. Avoid the temptation to change up your health and fitness routines and stick to what you know. While March 3rd and 4th will ask that you take it a bit easy, the 10th to the 11th will see a surge in energy. Take advantage of this and try some extreme sports. When the 20th rolls around, take advantage of the hopefully nice weather and take to the trails in the Amsterdamse Bos.


March will be a month of great progress for you, Pisces. With the new moon entering Pisces on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, try and squeeze more steps into your day. This can mean taking the stairs or heading out to a club. As we know here at Rocycle, the workout can be a party! From the 25th, try and cook at home more. Your digestion (and your waistline) will thank you.


Small changes will see big results for you this month. Something about your workout routine may have been annoying you, Aries. Get smart about it and make sure you’re doing things right. Not sure how Rowen manages to hit those tapbacks so effortlessly? Come to one of our skills rides to brush up on all the moves. Things might get complicated toward the end of the month, but grit your teeth and stick to it. You can do it!


Keep up the good work, Taurus! You are doing exactly what you need to do, so don’t rest on your laurels. On the 1st, you will smash your workout with ease. Reward yourself with a filling and healthy smoothie. It will make your skin glow too! Speaking of skin, this is the month to pay special attention to your body’s largest organ. Try a new face mask or splurge on a facial to get that post-workout glow all the time.


The third month of the year is the perfect time to centre yourself and find your ambition, Gemini. Because when you are healthy and happy, you can be a great example for those around you. On the 5th, engage in some competition – with yourself! You are a twin, after all. See if you can beat your PR on the race track or do more push-ups than you’ve ever done before. As Mercury goes into retrograde on the 22nd, make sure your exercise routine is as fun as it is effective. Try old school aerobics or organize a round robin tennis tournament with friends. The 31st is a new moon – be on the lookout for love at the gym. Your pheromones will attract the right mate.


Boundless energy and good intentions are the name of the game this month, Cancer. No more feeling crabby, Crab! March 8th sees Jupiter in retrograde, which will have you feeling introspective. Though your enthusiasm might be less apparent to those around you, you will still feel strong inside. The seventeenth is the new moon, so try something new, Moonchild. Try underwater cycling or that new raw, vegan sushi bar. You may like it! Work on your core on the 19th and fit in a few extra sit-ups. This month is all about balance for you, and a strong core is key.


Sitting, waiting, wishing will get you nowhere. What does that mean, Leo? Get off your ass and put the work in. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your abs be! Give it everything you’ve got on the 7th, as you are in powerful positioning this day. Spring begins on the 20th when the sun enters Aries, so it is a good time to source the freshest of produce at your local neighbourhood market. Gear up for the 26th and 27th, as those are your power days, with the moon in your house. Go hard or go home at the end of the month.


You might be surprised by how motivated you are this month, but don’t let it catch you off guard. Instead, harness that drive and make all your fitness goals possible. Visualization can help you achieve what you want on the 4th. Set achievable goals and picture yourself reaching them. Even with all this motivation, rest is important. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep on the 10th. It will make all the difference.


You are master of the scales and balance, Libra. Bring this outlook to your health. Keep making the effort to eat well and exercise enough, and you will achieve perfect balance. Work hard, not smart. Listen to your body. The sustainable effort you put in during your weekly strength training session on the 17th will see you through and make you proud.


You are a beast, Sagittarius! Nothing will be able to stop you or even slow you down. Your fitness regime will feel easy peasy this month. Go  you! With three power days from the 7th to the 9th, make it your time to shine. Treat yourself to a new pair of sneakers and a sleek reusable water bottle to really sparkle. All this power will definitely do a number on your body, so make sure you take care of stiff, achy muscles on the 27th. Did someone say massage?


Capricorns, take it easy this March. You’re killing it with your regime, but you don’t need to push too hard. Take a cue from Libras and make sure you have balance in all things. The 3rd will bring a bit of resistance, and you may feel frustrated. To battle that, try a little bit of resistance training. That way you’re taking the toughness into your own hands. March 10th will be a productive day for you, so ensure you schedule a workout that will push you. Make the most of it!
